The impact we've made together

We treat every not-for-profit and project as a unique opportunity to grow the impact we create. Below are a few of the projects we have done that showcase our process and outcomes. If you have any questions about them, reach out to us through our contact page. Thank you to everyone who has been involved in someway with these projects, every step is part of a collaborative process to create outcomes that make a difference.

Adventure-based Event Management

To deliver adventures of all scales to the rangatahi of Aotearoa, Scouts Aotearoa needed an events system with attendee management as well as health and safety planning that empowered their members.

Using all of the services that Grown Impact provides – we addressed the needs of volunteers and youth members to create a leading adventure-based learning event system.  A project that involved thorough design work, robust data structures, and a custom interface to ensure it was intuitive and engaging.

The project involved multiple modules – attendee management, health and safety planning, attendance, integration with medical and dietary information, the production of reports, and more.

There were key challenges Scouts Aotearoa were looking to overcome through this project. Particularly – creating a system that worked at all scales, balancing valuing time with ensuring due diligience, and making sure that the system aligned with the needs of the organisation’s membership. This system was a key driver for digital enablement for Scouts Aotearoa and need to provide confidence to members about the direction the organisation was taking digitally moving forward.

Youth Empowering Achievement Tools

To empower their youth members, Scouts Aotearoa needed an engaging platform for rangatahi to lead their own growth and development. While also providing volunteers with intuitive and easy to use tools to support them.

Using all of the services that Grown Impact provides – we identified the needs across all parts of the organisation, to see where one tool could be applied to multiple portfolios. Doing so means that both the youth programme and adult training could use the same tools. Saving members time in learning how to use the digital systems that empower them, and allowing the organisation to only produce and maintain one system.

As a result the project became multi-faceted. An overview tool for managing and reviewing the accomplishments of both youth and volunteers, in addition to an engaging personal experience for members to identify their own next steps.

Scouts Aotearoa’s main product is their programme. A youth led initiative that is supported by trained adult volunteers. The achievement tools provide a direct pathway for members to get engaged. While also providing employees with oversight of progress and a dynamic set of tools for updating content. A key focus of this project was building a system that would be able to adapt and be maintained without the need of code, so Scouts Aotearoa could utilise it into the future without needing to have internal capabilities for it’s support.
